Standard First Aider Course

Course Overview:

This course prepares individuals for the role of being a first aider, with the necessary skills in identifying, planning and managing an emergency situation. It equips individuals with the basic information and knowledge on common accidents, medical emergencies, illnesses, injuries and its causes. The aim of the course is to train individuals to render first aid to common accidents, its related injuries and medical emergencies.

Course Outline:

  • Introduction to First Aid
  • Transportation of the Casualties
  • Unconsciousness & Medical Emergencies
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation & the use of Automated External Defibrillator (APR+AED)
  • Wounds Management & Shock
  • Poisoning, Bites & Stings
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries
  • Other Injuries
  • Breathing Difficulties

 

Course Duration:    2.5 days - 21 Hours (Training & Assessment hours)

Assessment:     Practical and Written Test

Certification: Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the course, inclusive of: A CPR & AED certificate valid for 2 years, will be issued to participants who have passed both the theory and practical assessment
